Bananas! Our islands in the Canaries are covered with banana plantations and ever since I first came to Tenerife, banana trees have fascinated me for almost 20 years since I first visited Tenerife in 1990.  
Usually fincas charge you a small amount for a guided tour in ‘your language’ but I wanted to know more about it.

Much has been written about the Caves of the Wind (Cuevas del Viento), but we wanted to discover this underground world of lava tubes for ourselves, Cuevas del Viento is the largest complex of its kind in Europe. And what we saw, was so much more than we expected. Actually, we might have seen things that we were not supposed to see!
